Responsibilities
- Assess patient acuity and prioritize emergency cases using standardized triage protocols
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient flow
- Provide accurate clinical documentation and maintain electronic health records
- Delicate compassionate patient education and discharge instructions
- Monitor vital signs and interpret diagnostic results for critical decision-making
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
- Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA and hospital policies
Qualifications
- Active RN license in California (BRN)
- Minimum 2 years emergency department or urgent care experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Excellent communication and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments
- Electronic health record system proficiency
- Spanish bilingual preferred (not required)
- Flexibility for rotating shifts including nights/weekends
