As a Triage Nurse, you'll be the first point of contact for patients in our busy ER, using your critical thinking skills to assess medical conditions and prioritize care. We offer comprehensive benefits including health insurance, retirement plans, and continuing education support.
Responsibilities
- Perform rapid patient assessments using the Emergency Severity Index (ESI)
- Oversee triage process for 50+ patients daily in high-volume ER
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams for care coordination
- Document patient encounters accurately in Epic EHR system
- Provide patient education on treatment protocols and discharge instructions
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and JCAHO standards
Qualifications
- Active CA RN license with minimum 2 years ER/triage experience
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- Proficiency in Epic EHR and telehealth triage platforms
- Strong assessment skills for pediatric/adult/geriatric populations
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts including nights/weekends
- Spanish bilingual preferred
