Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms and medical histories to determine urgency and appropriate care pathways
- Provide expert triage services via phone, telehealth, and in-person consultations
- Collaborate with physicians and specialists to coordinate patient care transitions
- Maintain accurate electronic health records using Epic systems
- Delicate crisis intervention for emergency situations requiring immediate attention
- Educate patients on treatment protocols and preventive care measures
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Wisconsin (or compact state)
- Minimum 2 years emergency room or urgent care experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Strong communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Proficiency in electronic health record systems (Epic preferred)
- Ability to work independently and under pressure
- BSN or Associate's degree with relevant certifications
