Responsibilities
- Conduct rapid patient assessments in high-volume emergency department settings
- Prioritize patient acuity using Emergency Severity Index (ESI) protocols
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams for efficient care delivery
- Document clinical findings accurately in electronic health records
- Provide education to patients and families regarding emergency procedures
- Maintain compliance with TJC and emergency department standards
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Florida (or compact state)
- Minimum 2 years emergency department or triage experience
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- BSN degree preferred (ADN candidates with experience considered)
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced, high-stress environments
- Experience with ESI triage protocols preferred
