Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, assisting with bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist patients with mobility and transfers using proper body mechanics and safety equipment.
- Communicate changes in patient condition and daily status to the nursing staff.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary patient environment at all times.
- Prepare meals and assist patients with eating as necessary.
- Administer medication and treatments as directed by licensed nurses.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in Tennessee.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, and lift patients frequently.
- Previous experience in a long-term care or hospital setting preferred.
- Reliable transportation and valid driver's license.
