Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative and cosmetic treatments
- Perform dental radiography (X-rays) and maintain accurate patient records
- Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain strict infection control protocols
- Provide chairside assistance with optimal patient positioning and instrument transfer
- Take accurate dental impressions and fabricate temporary restorations
- Manage patient flow and coordinate with front desk for seamless appointments
- Educate patients on post-procedure care and oral hygiene best practices
Qualifications
- Active Dental Assistant certification (DANB or equivalent)
- Oklahoma dental radiography license required
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Expertise in digital imaging (DEXIS, Dexis) and practice management software
- Exceptional chairside manner with strong patient communication skills
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Current BLS/CPR certification
