Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including oral surgery, restorations, and endodontics
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment
- Take dental radiographs (X-rays) and develop film
- Manage patient records using Eaglesoft software
- Provide chairside assistance and patient education
- Perform infection control protocols and OSHA compliance
- Order supplies and maintain inventory
- Coordinate with lab technicians for prosthetics
Qualifications
- Active Dental Assistant certification in Virginia (DANB or equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Radiology certification (RDA preferred)
- Proficiency in Eaglesoft and digital imaging systems
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- CPR certification (current)
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
