Responsibilities
- Monitor Vital Signs: Accurately measure and record patient blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Patient Assistance: Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, and toileting.
- Hygiene Maintenance: Ensure patients remain clean, comfortable, and well-groomed throughout the shift.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and care logs.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with nursing staff, doctors, and patients' families regarding patient status.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to strict safety protocols and infection control standards at all times.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to patient emergencies and assist in maintaining a safe environment.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid Texas State CNA certification (CNA-I or CNA-II) required.
- CPR/BLS: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a clinical or long-term care setting preferred.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centric approach.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift, stand, and walk for extended periods.
- Background: Pass a background check and drug screening.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
