Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming assistance.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and ambulation using proper body mechanics.
- Prepare and serve meals according to specific dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Communicate any changes in a patient's physical or emotional condition to the nursing staff immediately.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitized environment for patients and residents.
- Document daily care activities and patient interactions accurately.
Qualifications
- Current, valid, and unencumbered Florida CNA license.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
- Previous experience in a home health or long-term care setting is preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and assist with lifting.
- Compassionate demeanor with a focus on patient dignity and respect.
