Responsibilities
- Monitor Patient Health: Observe and record patient vital signs, symptoms, and behavior changes to the nursing staff.
- Assist with Daily Living: Help patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and eating while maintaining their dignity.
- Move Patients Safely: Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and positioning using proper body mechanics and equipment.
- Document Care: Accurately record patient care activities, intake and output, and changes in patient conditions.
- Communication: Communicate with patients and their families to provide emotional support and information.
- Environment Maintenance: Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment to prevent infections and accidents.
Qualifications
- Valid Certification: Current, unencumbered CNA license in the state of Wisconsin.
- Basic Life Support: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Experience: Previous experience in a hospital, nursing home, or home healthcare setting preferred.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift, push, and pull patients weighing up to 50 lbs as needed.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong verbal and non-verbal communication skills with a focus on empathy and patience.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to follow instructions and maintain accurate medical records.
