Responsibilities
- Monitor Patient Health: Observe and report changes in patient condition, including vital signs and symptoms, to the nursing staff.
- Assist with Daily Living: Provide personal care including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting assistance.
- Medication Management: Assist with medication administration under the supervision of registered nurses.
- Feeding Assistance: Support patients with meal preparation and feeding as required.
- Environment Maintenance: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment.
- Communication: Effectively communicate with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
Qualifications
- Certification: Active and current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of Michigan.
- Experience: Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care facility is preferred.
- Flexibility: Ability to work various night shift schedules including rotating shifts and weekends.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a compassionate bedside manner.
- Physical Demands: Ability to stand for long periods and lift patients as needed.
- Background: Clean background check and drug screen required.
