Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and accurately record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, respiration rates, and temperature.
- Assist with patient mobility, transfers, and positioning to ensure safety and prevent bedsores.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Document patient care plans, symptoms, and daily progress notes in the electronic health record.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment for all residents and patients.
- Communicate effectively with the night shift nursing team to address patient needs promptly.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Kansas CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Previous experience in a long-term care, hospital, or home health setting is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently during the night shift.
- Excellent communication skills and a compassionate demeanor toward patients and families.
- Ability to lift and move patients safely in accordance with safety protocols.
