Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Assist physicians and healthcare providers with patient exams and treatments.
- Vitals & Admin: Measure and record vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse) and prepare patients for examination.
- Lab Work: Collect and process laboratory specimens, perform basic lab tests, and sterilize equipment.
- Administrative: Manage patient check-in/check-out processes, update medical records, and handle insurance verification.
- Communication: Provide clear instructions to patients regarding medications and follow-up care.
- Infection Control: Adhere to strict hygiene and safety protocols to maintain a clean environment.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or MA) preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience in a clinical or administrative medical setting is highly desirable.
- License: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Skills: Strong computer proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Interpersonal: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centered approach.
- Reliability: Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or evenings as needed.
