Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during clinical procedures
- Accurately administer medications and vaccinations per physician protocols
- Perform vital signs, EKGs, and basic lab specimen collection
- Maintain electronic health records (EHR) with precision and confidentiality
- Coordinate patient flow and ensure efficient clinic operations
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
- Assist with sterile processing and inventory management
Qualifications
- Current Medical Assistant certification (AAMA, AMT, or NCMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in a hospital setting
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and HIPAA compliance
- Ability to multitask in high-pressure environments
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Colorado state MA license (if applicable)
