Responsibilities
- Assess patient health problems and needs, develop and implement comprehensive nursing care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians according to established protocols.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and clinical status, identifying any changes that require immediate attention.
- Document patient care services in medical records and communications in an accurate and timely manner.
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team members to ensure holistic patient care.
- Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and post-discharge care.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Colorado.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) accepted with relevant experience.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of recent acute care nursing experience preferred.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to providing exceptional patient-centered care and adhering to evidence-based practices.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift patients as needed.
