Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during medical procedures
- Administer medications and perform routine clinical tasks (vaccinations, EKGs, phlebotomy)
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and ensure HIPAA compliance
- Schedule appointments, handle billing inquiries, and manage front desk operations
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
- Coordinate with specialists and pharmacies to ensure continuity of care
Qualifications
- Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA or RMA) required
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in ambulatory care setting
- BLS/CPR certification and knowledge of medical terminology
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic or NextGen preferred)
- Strong communication skills and ability to multitask efficiently
- Flexibility to work evenings/weekends as needed
