Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care in acute care cardiac monitoring unit
- Administer medications and therapeutic treatments per physician orders
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and document in Epic EHR
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for care coordination
- Implement patient education for cardiac conditions and procedures
- Respond to rapid response codes and emergency situations
- Maintain strict compliance with JCAHO and hospital policies
Qualifications
- Active Texas RN license (compact license accepted)
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years acute care nursing experience
- Telemetry or Cardiac ICU background preferred
- Strong critical thinking and communication skills
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts with weekend rotation
- Epic EHR proficiency required
- BSN preferred (ADN candidates with 5+ years experience considered)
