Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate care for elderly clients including bathing, dressing, and mobility assistance
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding as needed
- Monitor client health status and report changes to care team
- Administer medications according to care plans
- Transport clients to medical appointments and social activities
- Perform light housekeeping duties (laundry, cleaning, meal prep)
- Companionship and emotional support for clients
- Maintain detailed care documentation
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year professional caregiving experience
- New York State HHA certification or willingness to obtain
- Valid driver's license with clean record
- CPR/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform physical tasks
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable transportation and punctuality
- Pass background check and drug screening
