Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care including bathing, dressing, and feeding assistance
- Monitor vital signs and document patient observations accurately
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and rehabilitation exercises
- Collaborate with RNs and other healthcare professionals on care plans
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable patient environment
- Respond promptly to patient call lights and emergencies
- Support emotional well-being through companionship and active listening
Qualifications
- Valid New York State CNA certification in good standing
- Minimum 1 year of recent clinical experience preferred
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
- Strong communication skills and empathy for elderly patients
- Flexibility to work weekends, nights, and holidays
- Pass background check and pre-employment health screening
