Responsibilities
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and accurately record vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature.
- Assist physicians and registered nurses with medical procedures and treatments.
- Respond promptly to patient call lights and emergencies to ensure safety and comfort.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary patient environment.
- Document patient care plans and progress notes in electronic health records.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Qualifications
- Current and valid state certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
- Previous experience in a hospital or acute care setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift patients as required.
- CPR certification (ACLS preferred but not mandatory).
