Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate personal care to patients including bathing, dressing, and feeding assistance
- Monitor vital signs and document patient observations accurately in medical records
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and positioning to ensure patient safety and comfort
- Collaborate with RNs and healthcare teams to implement individualized care plans
- Maintain a clean, safe, and infection-controlled patient environment
- Respond promptly to patient call lights and emergency situations
- Support emotional well-being through patient companionship and communication
Qualifications
- Active Tennessee CNA certification in good standing
- Minimum 6 months recent CNA experience in long-term care or hospital setting
- Current BLS/CPR certification or willingness to obtain immediately
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physical tasks for extended periods
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail
- Flexibility to work various shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Pass background check and drug screening per facility requirements
