Your Impact as a CNA
As a Certified Nursing Assistant, you are the heart of patient care. You will work closely with registered nurses and LPNs to ensure our residents receive the highest standard of medical attention and personal dignity.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting assistance.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse rates.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and walking using proper techniques to prevent injury.
- Feed and hydrate patients according to dietary restrictions and care plans.
- Change bed linens and maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment.
- Communicate changes in patient condition or behavior to the nursing staff immediately.
- Administer medications as directed by licensed nursing personnel.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered CNA license or certification in the state of Texas (STNA preferred).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
- Previous experience in a long-term care, assisted living, or hospital setting is highly preferred.
- Strong compassion, patience, and excellent communication skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
