Responsibilities
- Provide basic patient care including bathing, dressing, and grooming assistance.
- Monitor vital signs (temperature, blood pressure, pulse) and report any abnormalities to the nursing staff immediately.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and ambulation using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and patient preferences.
- Document patient care activities, updates, and observations accurately in electronic health records.
- Respond promptly to patient call lights and requests for assistance.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients and staff.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required in the state of Illinois.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification.
- Previous experience in a hospital, nursing home, or home health setting preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and standing for extended periods.
- Compassionate, patient-centered attitude with a focus on resident dignity.
- Reliable transportation and a willingness to work various shifts, including nights and weekends.
