Responsibilities
- Provide Direct Patient Care: Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support with dignity and respect.
- Monitor Patient Health: Observe and report any changes in patient condition, vital signs, or behavioral changes to the nursing staff immediately.
- Document Care: Accurately record patient care activities, intake and output, and changes in patient status in electronic health records.
- Assist with Procedures: Prepare patients and equipment for examinations, treatments, and procedures performed by nurses or physicians.
- Maintain a Safe Environment: Ensure the safety and comfort of patients by adhering to infection control protocols and safety standards.
- Communicate Effectively: Serve as a key communication link between patients, families, and the healthcare team.
Qualifications
- Current CNA Certification: Must possess a valid state-issued Certified Nursing Assistant license (Georgia).
- BLS Certification: Basic Life Support certification required for all healthcare staff.
- Experience: Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting preferred, but we are willing to train dedicated candidates.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs as required by patient care duties.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Compassion: A genuine passion for patient care and a kind, patient demeanor.
