Responsibilities
- Provide Direct Patient Care: Assist patients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting with dignity and respect.
- Vital Signs Monitoring: Accurately measure and record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist with Medical Procedures: Support nursing staff with wound care, catheter care, and the operation of medical equipment as directed.
- Communication: Effectively communicate patient needs and changes in condition to the nursing team and physicians.
- Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment for patients and staff.
- Meal Assistance: Serve and assist patients with meals and monitor their dietary intake.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current, valid CNA license issued by the State of Arizona.
- CPR Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a hospital or long-term care setting preferred.
- Compassion: Strong interpersonal skills and a genuine desire to help others.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and lift patients as needed.
- Documentation: Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems is a plus.
