Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, and temperature, reporting any abnormalities to the RN or LPN.
- Assist with personal hygiene, toileting, feeding, and mobility for patients of all ages.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment by adhering to infection control protocols and safety standards.
- Document patient care accurately and promptly in electronic health records (EHR).
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, including nurses and therapists, to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Answer call lights and respond to patient needs promptly and professionally.
Qualifications
- Current, active CNA License required (Georgia or Florida).
- CPR/BLS Certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or Red Cross is mandatory.
- Previous experience in a hospital, long-term care facility (LTC), or home health setting is preferred but not always required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and medical staff.
- Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks as required by the job.
- Must pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
- Compassionate, patient-centered attitude with a focus on quality care.
