Responsibilities
- Patient Assistance: Provide direct care to patients, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting assistance.
- Monitoring: Observe and report changes in patient health status, including vital signs and behavior.
- Mobility Support: Assist patients with ambulation and transfers to and from beds, wheelchairs, and other medical equipment.
- Hygiene Maintenance: Ensure patients maintain personal hygiene and a clean, comfortable environment.
- Documentation: Accurately record patient care activities, intake and output, and changes in condition in electronic medical records.
- Communication: Act as a liaison between patients, families, and the healthcare team.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current and active CNA license in the state of Indiana.
- Certification: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Experience: Prior experience in long-term care or a hospital setting is preferred but not mandatory.
- Skills: Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
- Physical Ability: Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
