Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, and pulse, reporting any abnormalities to the nursing staff immediately.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and ambulation using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients and visitors at all times.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team regarding patient needs and status.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments as directed by licensed nurses.
Qualifications
- Current, valid, and unencumbered Texas CNA license.
- Previous experience in a hospital, skilled nursing facility, or home health setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs safely.
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care.
- Reliability and punctuality are essential for weekend shifts.
