Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding assistance.
- Assist patients with mobility and transfers using proper body mechanics and safety equipment.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Administer medications and document patient care plans accurately in electronic health records.
- Communicate effectively with nursing staff, physicians, and family members regarding patient status.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for all patients and visitors.
- Respond to patient needs and emergencies promptly and calmly.
Qualifications
- Current California CNA Certification (State License) required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR Certification required.
- Previous experience in a healthcare or long-term care setting preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work weekends and holidays as required by the schedule.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and assist with lifting patients.
