Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate daily care to residents including bathing, dressing, and feeding assistance
- Monitor vital signs and report changes in resident condition to nursing staff
- Assist with mobility transfers using proper techniques to ensure safety
- Accurately document resident care and activities in electronic health records
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop individualized care plans
- Maintain a clean, safe, and infection-free environment
- Support residents' emotional well-being and social activities
Qualifications
- Active Illinois CNA certification in good standing
- Minimum 1 year recent long-term care experience preferred
- Current CPR/BLS certification (or willing to obtain)
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility to work day/evening/weekend shifts
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Basic computer skills for documentation
