Responsibilities
- Provide companionship and emotional support to elderly clients
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, and meal preparation
- Monitor vital signs and report changes in client health to care coordinator
- Transport clients to medical appointments and social activities
- Light housekeeping and medication reminders
- Maintain accurate care logs and client records
- Collaborate with family members and healthcare professionals
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year professional caregiving experience required
- Current CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Valid New Mexico driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to pass comprehensive background check and drug screening
- Compassionate patient demeanor with strong communication skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
- New Mexico caregiver license preferred but not required
