Responsibilities
- Provide personalized assistance with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, and meal preparation
- Monitor vital signs and report health changes to medical professionals
- Administer prescribed medications and assist with mobility exercises
- Engage clients in meaningful social activities and cognitive stimulation
- Maintain detailed care logs and communicate with family members
- Ensure safe home environment by identifying potential hazards
- Transport clients to medical appointments and social outings
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year professional caregiving experience (home health aide preferred)
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Home Health Aide (HHA) certification
- Valid Texas driver's license with clean driving record
- Current CPR/First Aid certification
- Ability to pass comprehensive background check and drug screening
- Strong communication skills and compassionate nature
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed
- Basic knowledge of dementia care protocols
