Responsibilities
- Chairside assistance during dental procedures including restorations, extractions, and endodontics
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment following OSHA protocols
- Manage digital radiography and intraoral imaging systems
- Perform accurate patient charting and electronic health record management
- Assist in infection control protocols and sterilization procedures
- Coordinate patient flow and ensure optimal clinic efficiency
- Provide post-operative instructions and patient education
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification or registration in Louisiana
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in digital radiography (Dexis/Sirona) practice management software
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and infection control standards
- CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain immediately)
- Exceptional communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a high-volume setting
- Valid Louisiana driver's license and reliable transportation
