Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for dental procedures and assist dentists during treatments
- Sterilize instruments and maintain clinical hygiene standards
- Take dental X-rays and perform chairside assistance
- Manage patient records using digital systems (EHR)
- Inventory management and ordering dental supplies
- Provide post-procedure care instructions to patients
- Coordinate treatment schedules and appointment confirmations
- Assist in emergency dental procedures when needed
Qualifications
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or equivalent certification
- Minimum 2 years of clinical dental assisting experience
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Proficiency in dental radiography (X-rays)
- Knowledge of infection control protocols (OSHA standards)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Digital dental software proficiency (e.g., Eaglesoft, Dentrix)
