Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including exams, fillings, and extractions
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments per OSHA standards
- Take and develop dental X-rays with digital imaging systems
- Manage patient charts and digital records using Dentrix software
- Provide post-op instructions and patient education
- Order inventory and maintain dental supply cabinets
- Coordinate scheduling and patient flow efficiently
Qualifications
- Active Tennessee Dental Assistant certification (DANB or state equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency with digital radiography and sterilization protocols
- Strong communication skills for patient education
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- CPR certification (BLS required)
- Experience with practice management software (Dentrix preferred)
