Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative, surgical, and cosmetic treatments
- Manage patient flow, including preparation, post-op care, and documentation
- Sterilize equipment and maintain OSHA-compliant infection control protocols
- Take dental radiographs and perform chairside assistance with digital imaging systems
- Order supplies, manage inventory, and ensure optimal clinic operations
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene and treatment procedures
- Coordinate with insurance providers and manage billing documentation
Qualifications
- Active Dental Assistant certification (DANB or state-recognized)
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in digital radiography and practice management software
- CPR/BLS certification with current renewal
- Exceptional communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and infection control compliance
- Valid Missouri dental radiography permit
