Responsibilities
- Chairside Assistance: Assist the dentist during examinations, treatments, and procedures with precision and efficiency.
- Instrument Preparation: Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment according to strict safety protocols.
- Imaging: Take and develop digital X-rays (intraoral and panoramic) as directed by the dentist.
- Patient Care: Greet patients, update medical histories, and ensure patients are comfortable throughout their visit.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate patient records and process insurance claims and paperwork.
- Infection Control: Adhere to OSHA and CDC guidelines to ensure a sterile environment.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required.
- Licensure: Current Dental Assistant License in Kentucky (or ability to obtain).
- Certifications: Current BLS (CPR) certification is mandatory.
- Experience: 1+ years of experience in a dental office setting preferred; new grads are encouraged to apply.
- Skills: Strong attention to detail and excellent interpersonal communication skills.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 20 lbs.
