Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative, cosmetic, and surgical cases
- Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain OSHA compliance standards
- Perform chairside assistance with four-handed dentistry techniques
- Take accurate dental radiographs (X-rays) and digital impressions
- Manage patient records using Eaglesoft/Dentrix software
- Deliver exceptional patient education on oral hygiene and treatment plans
- Coordinate scheduling and inventory management for dental supplies
Qualifications
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or RDA required
- Active radiology certification (DANB or state-specific)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in digital imaging and practice management software
- Strong understanding of infection control protocols
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with diverse patient populations
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Tennessee dental assistant license in good standing
