Responsibilities
- Prepare patients and clinical areas for procedures, ensuring sterility and efficiency
- Assist dentists during complex treatments including oral surgery and restorative procedures
- Manage digital radiography and intraoral imaging systems
- Maintain accurate patient records using practice management software
- Oversee inventory control and ordering of dental supplies
- Deliver post-procedure instructions and patient education
- Coordinate seamless scheduling and communication between departments
Qualifications
- Active Dental Assistant certification (DALECC or DANB preferred)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in digital radiography and imaging software
- CPR/BLS certification and infection control expertise
- Exceptional chairside assisting skills for multi-quadrant procedures
- Strong communication skills for patient education and team collaboration
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with Eaglesoft or Dentrix practice management systems
