Responsibilities
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment according to strict safety and infection control protocols.
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow.
- Take and develop dental X-rays (Radiographs) and intraoral photographs.
- Manage patient records, update charts, and ensure strict HIPAA compliance.
- Instruct patients on proper oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions.
- Order dental supplies and maintain accurate inventory levels.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Dental Assistant (DANB) or equivalent 4-Corner Certification.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification.
- Proven experience in a dental office setting is highly preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-first attitude.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform fine motor tasks.
- Proficiency with dental software and imaging technology.
