Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative, endodontic, and surgical treatments
- Perform chairside duties: instrument transfer, suction, and four-handed dentistry
- Take and develop accurate dental radiographs (X-rays) and CBCT scans
- Manage infection control protocols and sterilization of instruments/equipment
- Prepare treatment rooms, materials, and digital charts before procedures
- Deliver patient education on post-treatment care and oral hygiene
- Assist with inventory management and ordering of dental supplies
Qualifications
- Current Washington State Dental Assistant certification (DAEF or DANB)
- Minimum 2 years of clinical dental assisting experience
- Proficiency in digital radiography and practice management software (e.g., Eaglesoft, Dentrix)
- DEXIS/CBCT scan experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and dental sterilization protocols
- Excellent communication skills and ability to put patients at ease
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
