Responsibilities
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and record patient health status, including vital signs and changes in condition.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to patients and their families.
- Prepare meals and assist with light housekeeping to ensure a safe and clean living environment.
- Transport patients to medical appointments and run errands as needed.
- Administer prescribed medications and follow care plans established by nurses or physicians.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care services provided.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Home Health Aide (HHA) certification preferred but not always required for eager learners.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate demeanor.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Physical ability to lift, bend, and assist patients as necessary.
