Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with patient examinations, procedures, and minor surgeries
- Administer injections, medications, and vaccinations per protocols
- Perform EKGs, phlebotomy, and basic laboratory tests
- Maintain accurate patient records and electronic health documentation
- Schedule appointments, manage patient flow, and coordinate referrals
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and clinic safety standards
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA)
- High school diploma or equivalent; graduate of accredited MA program
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience preferred
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic, NextGen, or similar)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work flexible shifts (days, evenings, weekends)
- Pass background check and drug screening
