Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient intake, including medical history and insurance verification.
- Accurately measure and record vital signs, height, and weight.
- Assist physicians and nurse practitioners during examinations and procedures.
- Prepare examination rooms with necessary medical instruments and supplies.
- Perform basic laboratory tests, such as urinalysis and EKGs, following strict protocols.
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) with 100% accuracy and confidentiality.
- Provide exceptional customer service and patient education.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or outpatient setting.
- Strong proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) software (e.g., Epic, Cerner).
- Excellent communication skills and a compassionate bedside manner.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
- Reliable high-speed internet and a dedicated home office space.
