Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with patient examinations, procedures, and treatments
- Perform clinical tasks including vital signs, EKGs, phlebotomy, and medication administration
- Prepare and maintain exam rooms, sterilize equipment, and manage inventory
- Update and manage electronic health records (EHR) with precision
- Provide patient education on medications, treatments, and preventive care
- Coordinate referrals, lab work, and diagnostic testing
- Ensure strict compliance with HIPAA and OSHA regulations
Qualifications
- Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent)
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in a healthcare setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic, Cerner, or similar)
- Valid CPR/BLS certification
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work under pressure
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree preferred
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
