Responsibilities
- Patient Intake & Vitals: Accurately measure and record patient vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, weight) and prepare patients for examinations.
- Clinical Assistance: Assist physicians with examinations, perform basic lab tests, draw blood (phlebotomy), and prepare specimens for analysis.
- Administrative Support: Manage front desk duties, including scheduling appointments, updating electronic health records (EHR), and processing insurance paperwork efficiently.
- Patient Education: Provide clear instructions on medications, diet, and follow-up care to patients and their families to ensure compliance.
- Infection Control: Adhere strictly to safety protocols and hygiene standards to maintain a sterile environment for all patients and staff.
- Inventory Management: Monitor and restock medical supplies and examination rooms to ensure readiness for daily operations.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current CMA (Certified Medical Assistant), RMA (Registered Medical Assistant), or NCMA certification from an accredited institution.
- Licensure: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a clinical or outpatient setting.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong patient-centric approach.
- Technical Proficiency: Comfortable using electronic health records systems and medical software.
- Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
