Responsibilities
- Perform clinical duties including vital signs, EKGs, and phlebotomy
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during procedures
- Accurately document patient information and electronic health records
- Administer medications and injections per physician protocols
- Schedule appointments and manage patient correspondence
- Maintain clean, organized examination rooms and medical supplies
- Comply with HIPAA regulations and hospital safety protocols
Qualifications
- Current California Medical Assistant certification (CMA or RMA)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in hospital or urgent care setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Associates degree or equivalent medical training
