Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Provide direct care to patients, assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Vital Signs: Monitor and record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Medication Assistance: Assist patients with medication reminders and administration under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Communication: Effectively communicate patient status and changes in condition to the nursing team and physicians.
- Hygiene & Safety: Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitized environment for patients and ensure infection control protocols are followed.
- Record Keeping: Accurately document patient care activities and daily logs in electronic health records (EHR).
Qualifications
- Licensure: Must hold a current, active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in North Carolina.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory.
- Experience: Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred but not required for motivated candidates.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, lift patients, and perform physical tasks as needed.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient-centered attitude.
- Background Check: Must pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
