Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care including bathing, dressing, and feeding assistance
- Monitor vital signs and document patient observations accurately
- Assist with mobility transfers and use of medical equipment
- Support nursing staff with clinical procedures and patient safety protocols
- Maintain clean, organized patient environments and equipment
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams
- Adhere to HIPAA and hospital infection control standards
Qualifications
- Active Texas CNA certification required
- Minimum 1 year acute care hospital experience preferred
- BLS/CPR certification (or obtain within 30 days)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and stand for extended periods
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Knowledge of EHR systems (EPIC preferred)
