Responsibilities
- Accurately fill and dispense prescriptions while maintaining strict safety protocols
- Manage pharmaceutical inventory, ordering, and stock rotation
- Process insurance claims and manage patient billing inquiries
- Collaborate with pharmacists on sterile/non-sterile compounding
- Maintain HIPAA-compliant patient records and medication profiles
- Provide exceptional patient education on medication usage
- Ensure compliance with DEA, FDA, and state pharmacy regulations
Qualifications
- Active Texas Pharmacy Technician license (PTCB or ExCPT certified)
- Minimum 1 year retail/hospital pharmacy experience
- Proficiency in pharmacy software (e.g., QS1, Omnicell)
- Strong attention to detail and mathematical accuracy
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Basic knowledge of sterile compounding procedures
